The She of "She Runs with Scissors: Gasp! Koff! Gasp! Koff!" is La Bellota, a nontraditional student no more because she overcame all of the obstacles and challenges she faced as she worked, took care of her wee ones and went to school to become a nurse.

And she did it - she graduated and is now working as a nurse in Texas. Not surprisingly, never content to coast, La Bellota has now set herself a new challenge - to run a half marathon for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training, and to raise $2700 for the cause.
